Special Ops 6.5 Creedmoor

Being an "early adopter", I'm tickled to see it happening. Had to live thru all of the HATE years, listening to 308 and 260 rem junkies ripping it daily and saying it was a not needed and only created to fix a problem that didn't exist. It's a great round that's easy to load for and very accurate. Good to see the military giving it its chance.

Amazing how quite the haters are these days.

The haters are still out there. It's either 308 die hards or 260 fan boys. You try to talk to them and as soon as you say you shoot a creedmoor they automatically go in over drive hate mode and you can't tell them anything at that point. Like it baffles me at the stupidity of some of the people I've tried to talk to. Like one guy said the 308 would spank a 6.5 creed when loaded with equal weightso_O

Anyway, I'm glad to see them adopt it. It will ensure it's survival for many more years to come. I literally burst out in laughter when I saw they'd adopted it

I don't get the love hate thing. I have a .308, love it, won't part with it, have a creed, love it, won't part with either.
The haters are are the ones that only have one of the two options. I have both for my own individual reasons. They both have their purpose, some, over lap each other at times, and circumstances. To each there own. Love both of em'.
2 cents!

I don't have a issue with the 308. Ill probably own one someday. With the right bullets it will run pretty darn close to the 6.5. I just don't get why people hate on other people's cartridge choices. I was an early adopter/ supporter of the creed before it got popular and went threw all that bull crap and still do.

This is my 10 cent take on the usefulness, militarily speaking.
In some instances, the 5.56, is to small. In other instances, the 7.62, May be overkill.
The 6.5 Creedmore, falls dead in the middle, having benefits of each. Ample enough bullet weight, bc, to accommodate longish shots, and less barrel rise, and recoil.
Let's face, the 308, ain't going away, 5.56, either, and prove positive the creed is here to stay.
No flash in the pan, in my book.
Enjoy it, or NOT!

When I built mine everyone would ask "what cartridge? Never heard of it" Now everyone has one or wants one. It sure has exploded in popularity.

My WAG is simply because of bias, lack of objectivity, and not having an open-mind.
