Ruger #1 is finally shooting!

  • Hey guys I know that it has been a while since I posted but I finally got my Ruger #1 to group 3/4" which is good enough for the type of hunting that I do. Just wanted to say say thank you to you guys that gave me advice.
 
Was there one thing made a difference, or was it a little of this and that?
Not much you can't get done with 3/4" groups.
 
Just messing around with different powder charges and bullet weights. I wound up using 140 gr. Accubonds with 42 gr. of IMR 4320. And I wound up using a Hicks accurizer and that made a world of difference, but I don't know how it will keep zero so that will be interesting to see. By the way, it's chambered in 7x57 Mauser.
