How is it, one of the oldest bullet makers in existence, can't get the RDF to shoot?
I just read a thread on Snipershide, and no one can get the 130 to shoot.
Anybody tried them and had any luck? If that bullet would shoot, it would be a great bullet for small capacity 6.5s.
I can't for the life of me figure out why they can't find the problem and address it.
I have seen it across all of their bullet lines.
Who's doing the R&D over there? They should be fired!!!

I have been disappointed in the 140 RDF as well. Tried to work up a load for my buddies 6.5 Creed. All of his groups have been lousy. Switched him to the 140 Berger Hybrid and now he shoots great groups. Likely there is a trick to RDF's but I never found it.

I got the 140 to 1/2 to 3/4 Moa, but yea, they are disappointing too. I screwed up and ordered 500 of the 140s when they came out. So I thought I would look into the 130 before I bought 500 of those. Glad I did!!
But I'm stunned they can't get them shoot, especially since the custom comps get pretty good reviews.

I can not speak about the bullets because I stick with what works for the most part and that is Berger. I will say it is hard for me to trust a company that still builds 3.4" mag box long actions in 2018.
Have to agree with you there. Why would they limit the rifle so short, when the action can easily go out at least as far as a rem with a wyatt box. The 30 and 33 nosler at 3.8"oal gain a fair bit seated out that far.

I shot them out of my 6-284. They, (105) didn't do well at all. I already have a proven load for the rifle with Bergers...To be honest, I didn't waste any barrel on looking for a load. Not enough barrel life in this caliber to shoot at paper too much.

Wow! The 140 RDFs have been laser beams in my 28" Proof barrel (6.5x284). Shoots better than the 140 Berger Hunters and the Sierra 150s...

In fact my "fouling/fireforming" load is 55.5gr of RL26 @3125fps...Shoots sub .5s...

Nosler 105 rdf out of my 6 Dasher. I'd say I'm pleased with them. .167" at 193 yards.

I'm not the best shooter and this is just my varmint rifle. Sako 85 varmint that started life as a 243 and got a Krieger 1:7.5 sendero barrel.
I know there is a prs guy shooting the 6.5 SST with the rdf and is loving them too.

I was able to get the 140s to about 3/4 Moa. That's with a rifle that's a true 1/2 Moa gun with 130, and 140 Bergers.
Same with the 140 ELD. I've tried multiple seating depths, Lapua, Norma and Hornady brass, is about the same.
I really wanted them to shoot, because my calculated BC is .685.
It really didn't bother me until I revisited my 130 Hybrid load, and was stacking one right on top of the other.
I decided, I would give the 130 RDF a try, so I posted a question on another forum, and the response was enlightening. No 130s until they fix them.

I shoot both the 140 RDF (creedmoor) and 105 RDF out of my 6 SLR. both easily shoot 1/2 moa or better.

I would take what you read on the internet with a grain of salt before I wrote home about it. I would buy a box and try them for yourself before I jumped to any conclusions.

nah, I've tried that before, and lost...
The conversations are not from rookie shooters, they like me, have tried every trick in the book with poor results.
It's across every bullet line with the exception of the custom comp.
The guys commenting on theses post, are guys you don't see asking about accuracy problems on these forums. They are the ones who can help.
Plus, following PRS and longrange comp stats, you don't see the RDFs winning very many, if any matches.
