Sherman Shortmag Barreled Actions

If anyone wants to build a SS, here is a good opportunity. I have a guy who will put a chambered stainless Proof or a Benchmark on a Curtis Axiom action for $1599. They are in stock and ready to build....rich
****! Not bad at all! Wish my new job would hurry up and get here, I'd jump all over that!

Can they do the standard Sherman cartridges, as well as the SS cartridges?

Straight jacket armory?

Dang it Rich! My budget does not need that right now!

Interested for sure... 7ss with a WTO switch lug and a threaded muzzle for my can... Yummy! With that Axiom I've been wanting... That's only a stock and trigger away from being what the Seekins Havak ought to have been.

You don't like the Seekins Havak?

I do. I just have a thing for tri-lugs and their sixty-degree bolt lifts - keeps my knuckles off the scope. Thus, my comment reflects my personal bias. The one I played with at Cabela's was pretty awesome. And the new 6.5prc carbon fiber mag just looks sexy.

In all truth if it had a Curtis (or 60* lift) action I'd have brought one home by now. In PRC they even tailored the mag length to the slightly long COAL; impressive!

The idea of a 6.5ss, 7ss or (if I need commercially available ammo) a 6.5prc just sits really well with me. Heck, I touched base with Copper Creek and they said they'd be happy to load Sherman Short for me, removing that barrier for us, too.

But I slip off topic... These barreled actions look like an awesome offering. Yet one more reason not to wait as long as the budget suggests I ought to.
