Boycotting Dick's Sporting Goods, they will no longer sell assault style rifles.

A weapon does not walk, smell, taste, see and ect., but a person does. We do not need more gun laws, we need to address the mental health issues.

I agree with the mental health side of the argument right up to the point that there is no definition of mental health issues. Does this mean that someone that takes anti depressants or anxiety medication can not longer own a weapon? Does this mean that if you think our country should enforce our borders and only allow people into our country that we want to let in, you are suffering from a mental health issue?

You get my point, makes me nervous.

Dicks has been anti-gun for years. This isn't news, they just used a sensitive time to exploit emotions and get a bravery patch from all the soccer moms buying their little rugrat Nikes.


Also their selection is trash, their prices are highway robbery.

In my opinion, When retailers make certain choices, the consumer has the last word. In many cases this is there downfall and the consumer has a choice where he will spend his money.

I don't think I look at it as boycotting, I just chose not to spend my money somewhere I don't like there politics or service.

When Target went to transgender bath restrooms I simply choose not to go there. (they probably wont miss my business) but I don't miss there store.

I have a small mental list that no longer get my business and I really
don't find it a hardship because of the ability to find a replacement business that has what I want and is interested in My business.

You don't need a boycott, they'll lose money by not selling them. Who cares? It's a free market, companies can sell WHATEVER they want and that is a GREAT thing. If they don't feel comfortable selling "assault" rifles, great. There are plenty of stores that do.

I have to agree with J E Custom. It's our choice as consumers, to spend money when, where and how we choose. In my travels around the country, many retailers have lost my business because they jumped on the Liberal/Socialist feel good band wagon.
As far as Dick's goes, I can count on one hand the number of times I've been in their store, and have yet to spend a dollar.

When I got divorced one of the first thing attorney's (hers) generally did was to file a restraining order, and get the man's firearms removed for safe keeping until it could be sorted out. It keeps the talking only through the attorney ($$$$$$) leads to another day in court ($$$$$$), and positions her more clearly as a victim.

Lots to make one nervous. **** few "mental health professionals" are going to risk the liability of clearing someone to possess firearms.

I keep the door to my reloading room closed and locked. Anyone looks in there and I'm automatically relegated a 'mental' case.

Where I live Walmart stopped selling assault type rifles a couple of years ago. Now I hear they are not going to sell ammo to anyone under 21.

that is the problem. the left believes that anyone who disagrees with their philosophy is literally insane. If you look at the history of the USSR, which the american left is directly modeled on ( Bernie Sanders even visited the USSR for his honeymoon ), they equated dissent and religious conviction with insanity, and subjected such people to psychological prisons, complete with "treatment" to make them conform to politically correct thought as dictated by the Party.

So, mental evaluations must not be performed by radical activists who try to push an agenda within some government organization, but rather by unbiased medical professionals who are concerned only about the clinical and not the political. And good luck finding them, when board appointments are usually made for political reasons.
