E2K ELR match Townsend MT. 2000 yards

I'm interested! Except for the ", foldable bipod only." in the hunter class. My rig weighs in at 15.98 pounds and is set up for hunting with my own design/made solid bipod.

After pondering a bit, I see no need to limit myself the "hunter" class other than to have a big advantage. :)

I'm in.

Hey, Rhian - I'm gonna need some practice with an expert...:D Hint...

Hey Roy. May have to meet you there and let you shoot your gurl.

I never have liked a bipod. May have to do some work to see if I can get better with one.

Question to Tom. Why not a front rest not attached to the rifle?

Someone mentioned or perhaps joked I should try to run my 25 Cal 131 ACE up here at this event.

It's quite a bit more daunting right at 2000 yards than the Q Creek ELR match which goes out to 2100 yds but average shots are 1200-1400 yds.

Even though a larger rifle is suited for this I may come up and make the match if possible.

I read these rules but may have missed something. I am quite busy and was reading fast.

How many different ranges shot and what are they?

How many strings of fire at these ranges?

Everything is 2000 yards. Similar to 1000 yard benchrest. Have a sighter period at clay birds in a dirt berm. When sighter periods ends then go to paper target. 5 shots for group and score. 3 different gun classes. 3 target aggregate . This match is about accuracy, not just hitting something. One of a kind for this range. Great time. Great opportunity to test your equipment to see what it will do !!

All I would add is that we have a lot of snow on the ground and are getting more. Im not sure how that will effect the March match, I would contact the elrc if your planning on attending.

We're in a similar situation in central Oregon. There's 2 1/2 feet of snow on the ground. Our March and April matches may not happen. Our practice range is closed. Completely snowed in.
