im looking for a good long range hunting scope price range 1-2k. It needs to have adjustable turrets that are not capped and not be a huge tactical type with at least 12x magnification on the high end. I've done a ton of research and can't find exactly what I'm looking for, it seems like everything is either not adjustable without removing caps or it's too big for a rifle that will be carried. Any thoughts on my logic are welcome. Thanks.

I'll second the vote for a leupold. A VX6HD in 3-18 would meet your needs, and the turrets are very low profile so it's easier to carry, and the scope is also pretty light. I'll Be getting a VX 5HD in 3-15x44 here shortly for a lightweight carry gun because it's light and low profile.

Check out the leupold vx5 or vx6. Leupolds track well. I have a Zeiss conquest mc in a one inch tube with low turrets. Don't know if they still make something like that though. It Also tracks well. I seen a vortex razor at a show awhile ago with a 1" tube and low turrets. Burris veracity scopes with their madd turrets are quite low. Pretty sure leupold are as robust as any scope and to my eye have as good of glass or better than any other scope I mentioned.

Here's the vx5 with 44mm objective
