Seekins Havak

I got one in 6.5 PRC
weight is 7 lb 5 oz
I put the seekins brake on which weighs an additional 3.5 oz
Rifle, NF rings, NF level and a NF NXS weigh 9 lb 11 oz but I plan to install a sig whiskey 5 next week so I will save an additional 6 oz
Mag box is flush style and measures 3.1 inches.
Loaded rounds with a 147 ELD-M are 3.000 to touch the lands
I have been shooting them at 2.980 and there is plenty of room left in the mag
Feeding and extraction have been excellent, it ejects brass like a defiance
I have only shot it at 100 yards so far, best load is .4-.6 moa
58.2 H1000 is 2940 fps with the 147 and I expect it to pick up some speed
57.5 RL26 is 3020 fps with the 147 not quite as accurate as H1000 but still .6 moa
I had slight pressure at 59.5 H1000 and 58.5 RL26 with the 147's
The shoulders only grow about .003 after firing
So far I like the rifle and the fit and function of it. The trigger was a little heavy but easily adjust down to where I like them around 2 lbs.
Also, the bedding job is pretty decent for a factory rifle, not a work of art like SAC or GAP but functional and better than I expected.

Nice post, with some good details, thanks
Also, how many reloads on you getting on that brass?

Just a couple of questions:
Center feed mag,and Is it carbon fiber mag flush mount?
Barrel diameter at the muzzle?
Where did you buy dies?
Do you know if the barrel is Rock Creek cut rifled or button barrel?

Sounds like a sweet setup!

Yes center feed carbon
It's not flush like a BDL
.700 at the muzzle
Dies from midway
The person at seekins that responded to my email said it was a rock creek, the same barrel they use for their other guns.
It shoots good, doesn't foul too bad and cleans easily so I'm happy with it so far

I think this is proving to be an excellent rifle. I love the action. But, I just gotta say it - I really wish they had straight fluted the barrel.
I would have preferred the straight flutes as well, but they obviously wanted to match the look with the fluting on the bolt. Would like to know if you can get their hunting model with a Manners EH-1 stock.
They are coming out with a 28 Nosler and 300 WM in 2018.

This rifle in a 28 nosler with 8 twist if throated long for 195s would be a do all big game rifle, custom build quality and components for half the price.

It is a rock creek button rifled barrel. I talked with Seekins on this a couple of months ago. The mag is carbon, and is pretty much a flush mount, at least on the PRC, don't know on the other calibers.

That's my biggest hangup too. Spiral flutes on a barrel just look wrong to my eyes...
I didn't know there was an option for a Manners stock too! Which stock are they offering the rifle with?!

The 24" bbl spec is the only downside for the LA magnums. I hope Seekins releases them with a 26" instead.

Both. The McMillan is the standard version and the Manners version is a cabelas exclusive.
