I have been on a 4 or 5 month search for H4350, without any luck. Does anyone have any definitive news on when/if we might see some of this powder available? I did find some IMR 4451, which was supposed to be exact replacement (or so I was told), and now it is non-existent. I have heard all kinds of local speculation about being some coming available, but nothing for sure. Anybody know anything about where it can be found, and when?

4 buck were do you live? I live in Pittsburgh and we have been getting h4350 for about 1 year now.

I just bought 10 lbs of h4350.
Apparently it's hodgins #1 selling powder at the moment. Other powders may be substitutes but considering your dope can change lot to lot with the same powders makes wonder how anyone could state 4451 is the same. Be patient it will eventually show up. I waited 2 yrs till I found a can of h1000 and made a load with 7828 I had in the interim

We have lots of H 4350 up here in Western Canada,,, the trick is finding the finder that can get there hands on it.

I've been lucky too find a new friend up in our area that knows the reps that supply our Canadian mark place.

Bang, haven't seen H4350 locally in quite a while. Have found a few pounds at small town gunshops away from the big cities. My son got all of it to load for the grandsons since I don't use it on any of my rifles.

I can find it up here in northern NH..... just not as plentiful as say rl-17. I don't use h4350 much except for my wi yet loads so I do t buy much of it. One lb gets me through most of the winter

Respectfully,

Hodgdon does not make anything, they buy from an outside supplier and re-sell it under the Hodgdon banner. H4350 is manufactured in Australia for Hodgdon. And there's the rub, the first replacement batch has been here and is gone. Now we wait for ADI to run their manufacturing schedule and get back to the point where they will make the H4350. They aren't just going to drop everything and make a new run of H4350, they have other commitments to honor.

Some of us waited 2 years to replace our supply of H4350. And therein lies the problem, hoarding. When the supply did hit our shores, it was immediately scooped up by folks afraid they were going to be left out in the cold again.

What's the solution? Drive to Missouri to buy that batch from the Gunbroker seller who won't ship or beg one of the other members to find out if their supplier will ship to you. Or, and here's what I suggest, forget about H4350 and move on to the other powders which have a similar burn rate and performance as the H4350. Please note that I wrote SIMILAR. I am not advocating a direct replacement at all. I'm sure that this will cause all sorts of hand wringing because you have to start over by testing other powders with your bullets of choice. But you know what? It's that or sit on hands and wait out Hodgdon and their supply line.

Believe it or not, there are powders which can be tested to yield SIMILAR performance to the H4350 and they are currently available.:D
