Been looking to do a 35 degree shoulder . Is that what your reamer was?

Also just finish my 7mm/35 degree 338 Norma long throat . Going with a 1-7 twist to shoot the 192 grain CE.

FUN FUN FUN

When resizing to a 7mm, do you have to use all those bushings, would one bushing be too agresdive?

Also, is everything else the same for the 338 Lapua as far as using normal body sizing, trimming... the neck is the ONLY change right?

I use two forming dies to take mine down. I first take it to .30 and then to 7. It seems to work fine and dandy.

By forming dies you mean the two neck bushings? You don't do anything to the shoulder or the body of the case correct?

No, I guess some people call them trim dies. It's basically a chamber chamber threaded for a press, that is cut off right at the neck throat junction. The 7 die was made with my resize reamer, and the 30 diewas done with the finish reamer.

Can I get your phone number? I'd like to chat. My number is 757-701-6266 thank you

Here are some photo's of the the rifle and a loaded round next to a 264 Win Mag
I was able to get 3375-3400 FPS so far, Dave was able to achieve 3500, but he at a much higher altitude.

Common guys 250 shot barrel life are you kidding, I was hoping for just 75.
Do you know anyone that might have a set of dice for that gun 7mm 338 lapua

Ok, been thinking about a big 7mm to push the 180gr VLD's or 200gr Wildcats. I know Kirby has the 7mm Allen Mag that is based on a .338 lapua but is anyone shooting just a plain .338 Lapua necked down to a 7mm?

For those of you shooting this round, what kind of performance are you getting?

Thanks,
Jon
Problems with the big 7 are power Retumbo Is too fast the 50 BMG is too slow N569 & N570 works good But a very temperature sensitive.

So far the Retumbo has worked for me using 160 grain Nosler Accubond. The RL33 would be another consideration.
