Best $1500 Hunting Rifle

I'm going to buy a 6.5 Creedmoor for deer and antelope hunting. I was going to purchase a Weatherby Vanguard or Browning X-bolt but decided to keep my options open.

What's the best rifle I can buy for $1000 maybe $1250? Are the X-bolts good for the money?

I know I'm going to get a ton suggestions for Savage but they just aren't my cup of tea so anything but them.

I might also look at the Winchester M70 Extreme Weather Stainless. I don't have one, but it looks like a fairly good package for a factory rifle.

Or maybe the Rem 700 Sendero SF II.

don't think they come in the 6.5 creedmoor though

I can't figure out why Remington doesn't put out anything in the 6.5 Creedmoor. I think they'd make a killing as popular as their rifles are.

I've been wondering if we might see one from them at the shot show.
 
I did read Tikka is releasng a T3x in 6.5 creedmoor! Tikka's are great shooting guns as well!

Why would they, when they created a better cartridge 10 years before the 6.5 Creedmoor... The .260 Remington. :cool:
 
That remmy you posted looks really sexy. I'll bet they make other calibers too right? Very nice, they even put a different bolt handle on it. Cool
 
My xbolt is an excellent shooting rifle. Trigger could be better but isn't terrible, stock is nicer than most factory plastic and the palm swell is comfortable. Don't put it on a bipod unless you have some sandpaper handy though.. I've tried to hate that rifle but just can't seem to make myself sell it. It's pretty much become my tree stand rifle, it shoots dead nuts and I don't have to worry about beating up the stock considering I've already put a few good scratches in it. The only outright negative I'll give it is the finish, it looks nice but until I coated it in barricade it would turn orange before the rain left the clouds.
 
I picked up a ruger American predator in 6.5 Creedmoor and love it. It shoots 1" groups at 200 yards with a suppressor on it without a problem.
