33 Nosler

Holy Crapparoony...I guess western elk/moose/bear are wearing bullet proof chest protectors covered with Kevlar body armor !!! Man, those are some powerful powerful cartridges listed there, wow can't imagine anything taking a chest cavity hit and surviving for a few seconds. I also can't imagine shooting any of them off the bench for more than 3 shots, you gotta be a man's man to handle the recoil ....God bless you all for sharing...love to see some video off bench action/game being hit with the behemoth cartridges !

For hunting, I want to throw a non-lead fast fast fast.

The rest is just a case of ..... envy.

I guess I could setup some shots of the 338-378, 338 Edge and 338/26-Nosler off the bench. It's not the recoil, it's the concussion. gun)gun)

Don't hold your breath for it the video. Probably after Christmas.

There have been so many posted here by members of deer, bear, elk, moose it's tough to point you one direction.

A few minutes with Google, and YouTube should get you enough to keep you up all night.

Ohh, ohh. Baby wants dat bullets.

Opened great. 1700fps gave full deformation. Bullet is good to go. Loaded it at 3400fps in my 338 Lap imp and shot 1" at 200y easy.

I will get them loaded on the web site today or tomorrow for purchase.

Whoop whoop!:D:Dgun)gun)

If only Lapua (or *any* quality manu.) would make 338/378 Weatherby brass that would make that chambering much more appealing. Brass seems to be the only notable shortfall there.

I always seem to do fine on brass. Just lucky I guess. Same case with the 338-378. It came at a reasonable price with the rifle. It's plenty for the life of the rifle.

When the 26-Nosler came out I was able to get it.
I've always been able to get 300 RUM for my 338 Edge and 300 RUMs
Some chamberings are harder. 460 Weatherby "Basic" is $2.25 and Weatherby brand is over $4. Bertram CheyTac is $$$.

Seems like a logical step in their line up, big power for sure....only problem is I wonder if their line will face the same results as the RUM's, low sales at some point causes them to down grade back to only a few cartridges ... I 'd do it but only if I had 200 casings in my hand on purchase counter... Seems like it would handle the big boys with ease !

I think it will be published around shot show with the 33Nosler's debut.

Makes sense. I wonder if they have learned their lesson about reporting inflated BC's.

I bet they publish something north of .7 and then it'll test out in the high .6 range. Will probably be a great bullet either way.

I don't think Nosler will ever learn that lesson. There is to many people that just look at the bc number, get all excited and buy there bullets. Then never shoot past 300 yards.
Them saying that the 33 Nosler will out do a 338 lapua is plain stupid. Same with the 28 and 30 Nosler out doing the rum. It's not happening. While I like the Nosler case when Nosler says things like that it does nothing but make me think less of them as a company. I have a lot more respect for a company that puts out a good product and is honest about it's performance and specs.

Integrity. Honesty. Ethics.

Too bad Nosler doesn't value those things as much as they cherish their name-sake.

If they're being run by their marketing dept., the Board needs to reach down deep and set the record straight.
