My question is, I just finished up reloading for my hunting seasons ammo and out of 120 rounds loaded there were 12 bullets (10%) that I can't get the tip/hollow point cleaned out with a wire drill/ tip cleaner, is this a normal amount that you've seen? so I won't use these for hunting. Will anything change in these 12 as far as using them for long range target practice and groupings?

I'm quite certain that the flight thru the air at Mach 3 will change that... you should be just fine.

Are you saying that the flight will clean the tips or open them to where they should be?

I would NOT use these for big game hunting. As the OP mentioned I would reserve these for target only.

The flight won't d anything to the tips, if it did the bullet would open and dust. If I check tips and find some plugged I just use them for practice.

Call Berger and see what they say.

That's what I use and it works great, I just couldn't get these 12 to open up and didn't want to break the bit. All is good I shot the plugged up rounds today and a few more and they preformed on paper just like the other non plugged ones. Thanks for the input guys.
