Bolt carrier

I was looking at ordering a complete bolt carrier group and I saw the NiB coated and then I saw one that's Nitride. There weren't any reviews for the nitride so I thought I would ask if anyone has used one of these and what did you think about it?

I have all high end BCG's nickle boron and the extra slick NiB's The best thing is extra weight of the full auto BCG You don't beat up your buffer tube weight. the other thing is to get barrels with a mid length gas tube. Lots less pressure than a carbine length.

the best is rifle length with 20 inch barrels


As to BCG performance in the long haul. use white lithium grease on the internals It makes them so easy to clean and they don't get carboned up. I've even tried red wheel baring grease and STP. I actually fill the input gas tube with grease. The first firing blows down inside and protects the rings and firing pin.

I see no advantage to coated or match bolt carriers. Now a bolt indexed to your barrel can make a difference. Fact is some barrel manufacturers tell you not to use coated bolt carriers because it could effect headspace.

A standard BCM bolt carrier group is all you need.

I have these and i take the time to polish the feed ramps on my stainless barrels.

I've got two Failzero Nib BCG's there ok I've also got a black nitride again it's ok. Nothing wrong with a mil spec. If you want to spend more money a all hard chrome BCG is hard to beat.
