First trip to the range today with 28 nosler built on a sako 85 finnlight with a 26" Wilson bbl. top speed with 168ablr was 3278fps with retumbo and the 175ablr were 3120fps . The 175s shot better but this was the first time out and had some weather moving in on me so I was rushing. Definitely looks like it's a shooter. Should be able to fine tune it in the next couple weeks .

Can you please share your load data for the 175s?
Thanks,
Jett

Hard to find data so I used the info that was in the April issue of Shooting Times.Fed215m , 82grn retumbo and shot 3/4 moa and that was the 2nd load out of this gun. I will try 83 gr to see what that does soon.

what is your coal? a friend is wanting to do a 28 nosler on a sako action. wasn't sure if it would be long enough to seat the bullets long to use the case capacity.

There's no issue with long action sako 85. There is plenty of room , in my gun I'm in the lands at 3.550" with room to spare in the magazine with the 168 and 175 ablr .
