We took three 6.5s to the range this weekend two WSMs and one .264. The WSM with the T3 Terminator had significantly less recoil than the other 2. All three rifles have basically the same stock and all weigh within .5lb of each other. I am a believer in the Terminator brakes. In the photo the beige rifle has the T3.

I concur.

I love their size, makes em look meaner in my opinion. I watched some of their video's on youtube and they look pretty impressive. But I didn't see them compare side by side with any of the "Usual suspects" you see on this forum which would be nice. I didnt see any muscle brake, PK brake, or JEC brakes compared which would have been cool.

With the number and size of the ports I'm not the least bit surprised.

In essence, it is all about the surface area that is impacted by the gases. Therefore, I would expect larger brakes with more surface area to function better than smaller ones.

To a cirtain extent I think you are correct. However, when you watch the Terminator videos that compare the smaller T2 brake to the gigantic Sako and Savage brakes, the Terminator still has a significant advantage. The Terminator T1 is a smaller brake and it still seems to work better than a lot of larger brakes.

On a different topic I suggest watching the Terminator video where he is using different brakes on his 375 DCM. That is one hell of a cartridge. [ame]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Zv_GJGw9Xbg[/ame]

I agree but it's awesome that WE have plenty of good choices!

Again...I ask.....

In the first video that was posted it looks like the brake used at the 2:19 -2:30 time mark was a Gen 1 Fat Bastard brake by American Precision Arms out of Georgia. It is a very effective muzzle brake and in the test was tied for the best performance.

There are several different models depending on what caliber, how much recoil reduction you want, and also if you prefer a smaller size.
I have a Little Jimmy brake on my 300RUM and it works very well.

I think 4xforfun is asking about the OP's #1 post not the video.
