Hey all,
I've been lurking the site for some time now, but now that I'm building my first long range rifle, it's time that I create an account and get "on board", so to speak. I've found the articles and opinions here very informative. Thank you all who have contributed for making this forum the great resource that it is!

P.S. Location: Southwestern US of A.

Thanks!
Last year, I picked up a Howa 1500 in .30-06. I'm going to re-barrel it in 260 Rem.
Barrel: Brux (only 7 months to go!!!) #4 contour, 1:8 twist, Chrome Moly.
Muzzle brake: Defensive Edge.
Stock: I'll stick with the original stock for now (I think it's a B&C, not Hogue). Will glass and pillar bed it myself. Later, I may upgrade to something else, but I need more experience first.
Glass: undecided. My eyes aren't very good, so something with magnification of at least 18x, maybe up to 25x.
Scope base: Talley or EGW 20 MOA rail
Bottom metal: stock, for now. May try milling my own DBM later, just for fun!
Bipod: undecided

I'm open to all suggestions, comments, and questions!
