Welcome to LRH and enjoy!

I have the FCNS and I'm getting less than 1 MOA with factory ammo at 200 yards. Very pleased with it thus far.

Just got it back from the gunsmith last week for a muzzle brake install but have not shot it since then. Will be doing load development using 210/215 Bergers.

Thanks FEENIX, I was considering doing the same thing. Let me know how the brake and loads work.

I just got on the short mag bus about 6 months ago after despising them when they first came out. I was a remington ultra mag fan. Now I have the 270,325,7mm, and 300 wsm. All shoot really well, and carry in the field well. The 300 wsm I have is a Savage 11 I got new off GB for 350. Slapped a Boyds stock and burris scope on and it shoots like this with the 125 Nosler BT and IMR4007

Thanks , I appreciate the input. What kind of Burries scope, rings, and mount?? Did yours come with muzzle brake? Did it have the accu-stock?

I believe rifle was new old stock, so it had the cheesiest, flimsy plastic I had ever seen. It actually shot about the same with that stock though because it was free floated from the factory. The scope is the burris mtac 4.5-14×42. Awesome clarity and rugged. Those are leupold 30mm split vertical rings, and the brake was made for me by a forum member for like 50 bucks. I originally planned for a thicker profile barrel, but when I saw how good it shot with the factory stick I'm just gonna shoot this barrel out first.

Nice! I'm still trying to decide what scope I want. Leaning toward Leupold. Was thinking about a straight picatinney or weaver style rail mount, I'm not sure there is an advantage over say Leupolds standard one piece mount. Just thinking that a one piece mount/base would add more rigidity to the action. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas about scopes , mounts, etc.????

It sounds like ur leaning towards a lighter rifle that will pack easily. If that's the case, check out the dnz mounts. I run those on my tikkas and they are A1. I went with a leupold 3.5-10 v3 I had laying around and it's a slick setup. I shot a .20 moa with a rifle built for hunting, needless to say, I'm satisfied. If ur right handed throw a boyds thumbhole varmint on that savage and you will have a helluva rig for less than 850 bux:)

Thank you, I appreciate your input. Any thoughts on weaver extreme scopes ??

Been shooting my 300 WSM with good results. Factory 150 gr. were grouping just under moa. First try with reloads using 168gr. Hornady match, with IMR4350 had three rounds touching at 100 yds. Wanted more speed, so I used Re17 with the same bullet and shot the same. Bumped up the load to near max and had 3 rd. in a ragged hole, with two rds touching next to it,(probably my fault), producing a 5rd group of just under 3/4". The Weaver scope works fine, but obviously not the resolution of Nightforce or Leupold...
