Yep he flat loves shooting his cricket. I like the 243 have harvested a few whitetail with one but was just gonna do something that will be different than most have. Plus old dad would have good use for it also. Figure I might get to keep my rifle when they get older if I fix something cool for them.

Im launching a 140 a-max at 2880 fps with a 24 in bbl loaded with Rl-17. My dad gets 3005 fps with the 130's out of a 22in bbl.

There is a 250 in the safe fun little gun. Just wanted to do something for the kids that was different from most others in our area. Just gotta be different I guess. Thanks for that idea might be something to do just open it up with hand reamer for the imp. Will definitely consider this.

That 130 load would be a great whitetail load defiantly worth consideration. What kind of recoil does this load produce probably not much with a brake. I know the recoil seems like a mute point but the oldest had open heart surgery when he was 2 dr says he can do anything anyone else his age can especially since he is quite abit bigger than most but daddy is still scared to death. God I hope I quit worring so much as they get older but I doubt it.

Recoil is very manageable and thats without a brake. My little sister has no problem handling it and she is not very big.
