[QUOTE="J E Custom, post: 1487571, member: 2736"] :) Don't worry, It doesn't happen very often. But I do spend a lot of time developing the best load for the rifle, And sometimes only gain a few thousandths. I can no longer shoot like I use to being 77, so I rely on the rifle, load and testing set up to help me shoot better. Like others, My starting requirement for accuracy is less than 1/2 MOA. If a rifle wont shoot better than that, I haven't done my job building it. I also take great pains to set the rifle up for testing so I can see any difference In the loads tested. It doesn't take much effort to shoot 1 MOA. It takes quite a bit to shoot 1/2 MOA. Going from 1/2 to 1/4 MOA takes a lot of time and care, But when trying to consistently stay below 1/4 MOA there is no limit on time and desire that has to be there to accomplish this quality of accuracy. Sometimes we luck Into a 1/4 MOA rifle and load. Other times we have to work very hard to get there. when you get below 1/10th MOA it is very rewarding as long as the shooter realizes "He" wont be able to do that every time even though the rifle will.
