Long range varmint/target rifle for sale or trade. This Remington 700 in .243 Win comes with a Fajen stock, Bushnell Elite Tactical 6-24X50mm (first focal plane illuminated reticle, 30mm tube, mil/mil adjustments, side focus, etc.), Badger Ordinance rings and 20 MOA base, and Harris bipod with leg notch and sling swivel. I "built" this package to double as a varmint rifle/F Class Open gun but don't have the time to give it the attention it deserves. I've put about 100 rounds through it and now it just sits in my safe. MSRP on this package is $2200. Will sell complete for $1500 or $900 without the scope. Will consider trades for Ruger #1, Browning 1885, or similar. Rifle is located in San Antonio TX. Buyer pays actual shipping. Rifle will ship once payment clears.

Thanks fellas. I hope you're right. It's a very nice rig and I'm actually a little sentimental about getting rid of it. I'm sure I'll want another one as soon as it's gone. Thus is life!

if you feel that way now, then please reconsider. I sold my bull barrel .243 two years ago on this site and I have regreted it every day. That was a great rifle, and I shot a lot of deer with it. 53 in one season with the DMAP program in NC where we had to thin does of 12,000 acres. We had to shoot 250 each year. That gun took 17 in one morning, mostly head shots out to 300 yards. If you think you might miss her, then reconsider...or send her to me and I will keep her for a while and then send her back when you miss her too bad.

Good luch with whatever you decide to do. Neither choice is easy with a tack driver and sentimental values....but if all she does is sit.....like mine did....maybe it is better to let someone else love her.

Bump. She's got to go fellas. I found her replacement at Cabela's today. I'm a military guy and the family and I just moved from TX to KS so shipping will be actual charges from KS to the lower 48. This is a sweet rig and the price is right. Come get her.

Thanks! I'm VERY excited to be back in an area that has public hunting land. I've been pouring over the Kansas Parks and Wildlife info and think I have my pheasant opener planned. I thought, however, that I read something about a drawing for deer. As a military guy I'm eligible for a resident license and tags. Do residents have to draw for deer?
