SOLD/EXPIRED WTB Ruger 375 RCM guide gun

That was my thinking, the 300 and 338 RCM's are Ruger and Hornady designs, but no 375 RCM designed by them yet.

Yes the 375 Ruger case is cut down a whopping .4" to give us the 338 and 300 RCM's. The 375 Ruger was also a collaborative effort between Hornady and Ruger to come up with a round which out performs the H&H and is chambered in a standard length action. The case is .4" shorter than the H&H.

If you want to quibble over whether or not that makes it a "compact magnum" or not go ahead, arguing about it is pointless.

Words mean things. In that context, you are absolutely right. You have no argument whatsoever in light of the facts:

1. The cartridge was named Ruger not Ruger Compact Magnum.

2. The Ruger case has much larger capacity than the Ruger Compact Magnum case.

Maybe you think a 27 grain difference in case capacity is trivial?
