Yet another item or two I need for my project.

I'd like to get a period Redfield base for my transition USMC M40(A1) rifles. The base I desire is a Redfield JR marked 40X but could use a 722 or 700 model instead, the 40X version is apparently correct.

The base must be from late 1960's or early 1970's. It'll have one screw in the rear and two screws in the front for attachment to the rifle. These bases also has the standard two windage screws in the rear.

Notice the base in this picture.. The abses during this era were very squared off, not the rounded types we see now.

I could use two of these bases.

Again... I've a fair enough guy I'd say and will compensate well for the correct gear. If you happen to have a set of these on a rifle and don't mind removing them I'll make the effort worth your while.
