Ok, so DrVette has all but talked me into trying out a Wby Vanguard for my latest rifle purchase. I'm loving the idea of a sub MOA guarantee on a rifle under $575 that I can sexy up with aftermarket parts. So I go to my local sporting goods store to place my order, and guess what.... 300WSM is unavailable. Same for the Howa (I was simply curious). Store #1 said they could find me one some way, some how. I absolutely love the Awesome customer service of that store, so id prefer to spend my $ there, but I decided to check out a couple other stores just incase. 3 stores later ALL of them have the same news. No go. Aparently the whole WSM lawsuit is still having an ugly effect on availability from some firearms companys. Many simply don't offer the chambering so as to avoid the lawsuit all togather. I'm a bit bummed, but, on the bright side, I guess it just gives me another excuse to buy another Model-70. Everyone knows I'm a Winchester nut anyway, but I was "guinnea pighing myself out" because mamma wants to Elk hunt next year, & I have 3 youngn's to buy rifles for over the next few years. Figured id give the Wby a whirl, but now I guess it'll have to wait. Anybody have any idea where this lawsuit is, & or when it may end, & to what outcome? I'm kinda ****ed! I already had a beautiful stock picked out, & had researched rings, mounts, trigger ect. Grrrrr!
