AJ...Thanks for advice, I'll do that next week once I get back out seeking to improve on this (velocities and even group). Wild Cat....I appreciate the words of encouragement! I've just got to make sure I can keep that up. Practice makes perfect, so I am going to try and get out a few times a week so I can keep getting better. I think the rifle is a lot more accurate than I am though. Like I said, this was my first load I have worked up and I am VERY new to this. I was amazed how different charges danced around so much and then this one looked like this! Robbin...again, I appreciate the words. The elk are in no trouble here. I still need to shoot my first deer =( I have done a lot for a 25 year old in Kalifornia shooting pigs...but no deer yet. Hell, this rifle does not even have blood on it from me yet! As far as the gun kicking...the DE brake really took care of that. I am a pretty big kid but after about 15 rounds I started to jump around. As far as hunting I probably would have been alright, but I want to enjoy it and shoot it more than that. Only thing....make sure your hearing protection is on....every shot. My left ear is still not normal and I think it may really be messed up =(
