Looking for wood stock blanks, or wood to use for stock building.
Calling The Wild gun)
What particular types and grade of wood are you looking for?
Curly Maple, tiger, walnut.
I'm doing a build on a left hand Bolt Savage axis, with a 26" McGowen Bull Barrel.
Can't seem to find a stock for it, so I need to make one.
Thanks for your post reply.
Curly Maple is also called Tiger Maple. What grade are you looking for? Are you looking for American Black Walnut? I have numerous blanks of each in various grades of figure. What are you looking to spend on a blank?
High Joel, I thought after i posted that the Maples where the same, lol. my bad.
In all woods I like a sweet piece of wood, I figure if i'm going to build a stock, I want something really nice, but not so nice it becomes a wall hanger.
So I would not say the finest grade A you have, but somewhere between the middle and up.
Not sure what blanks are selling for so I don't want to insult you.
So I'm looking roughly in the ball park of $150.00 - $350.00
PM sent with contact info. Probably easier if we talk about your project.
I'll try and give you a call this weekend, or Monday, if you take the weekends off.
I don't answer the phone on weekends, so during the week is best.
OK, I'll try and give you a call tomorrow, been off a day all week, thought today was Friday.
If not, Monday.
If you're still looking I have a AAA walnut blank that I,d sell. Email if interested
