Here are a few pictures of my 2011 wolf. Not really a long range hunt, but it is a few pictures of a dead Montana Wolf. 25-06Rem, 115 Berger at 425 yards It weighed 71 pounds and was a 3 year old male.

The last picture is a friends wolf he killed the day before I got mine but out of the same pack.

Sendero, I am not sure the lengths or weights but a few of them were pretty good size

Rooster740, Great pictures nice color on the one you took!

Joel, Great Wolf!, I have taken two black wolves, "Taken" might not be the proper word as I only recovered one of them. When I took the two wolves in the top picture there were 7 wolves together. I shot the black wolf first at less than 70 yards wading him up in a pile. I proceeded to shoot the two hanging in the picuture over the next 30 seconds at 250 and 320 yards, during which time the black wolf got up and disapeared without me seeing. I tracked him in the snow for several hours to no avail. It was amazing the blood trail for the first hundred yards then it dwindled to the point that all I was following was tracks....and I never found him...Dangit!! Not sure where the hit was.

Great pictures guys thanks!

I Shot this in Manitoba, female estimated to be around 60#. Looking for info on hunting these in the bush.
Wondering how most people are getting theirs?
