Looking for the right scope, bases and rings for this gun. Thinking about a Burris short mag scope. Just wondering if anyone out there has a gun like this and what they put on it. Thanks

Perhaps you could give us a little more info such as which caliber, and intended use for the rifle?

.223 for varmint hunting, sorry about that

I have a mod 70 in 223 wssm. I have leupold standard bases and rings on it since there is no recoil only noise when you shoot. I would not be on the Burris boat though. I have a FF II on this gun it is not as clear in general as other scopes in this price range. My Brother in law has one (FFII) as well. They are both fuzzy around the edges of your FOV. I can't speak for the short mags though.
