I thought I would try some 180 grain Accubonds out of my 300wsm.
The only powder that the Nosler website shows that I currently have is R19. But I noticed that they show IMR4350 as an option, but not H4350. I do have some H4350 and hear about quite a few people saying they are using it in their wsm.

I know there is a slight difference between the two but was wondering if maybe the Nosler reloading book or somewhere else shows data for the H4350?

Buckus, I loaded some 185 Berger VLD in Federal brass with H4350 and 215M primers for a friend. After finding the right charge we played with seating depth and arrived at .780 MOA at 200 yds. Savage 16 stainless, laminated thumbhole stock, bedded. He uses his 300 to hunt elk in the thick junipers in N. Arizona. Good luck

H4350 and 180 AB are very popular in the 300 WSM. Most work up to 63 or 64 Gn.
Also Fed 210 primers are popular with the load. I have used F210 and F215 and settled on the F215 for my 300 WSM.

Am I safe to assume that those using this particular combo are just working up a load with H4350 by starting low and close to IMR?

I found no 'not' in that combo. It should work very well.

For me:

  • Primers, rifle are more accurate and consistent than magnum, short powder column
  • Powder, for bullet weights in the 180 range H4350, the burn rate matches the 300 WSM very well, just like it matches the 260 Rem. very well.
  • Seating depth, well, the standard "you can't get there" at magazine length

I spend most 300WSM shooting time with 208 A-Max, previously used H4350 but switched to H4381 for the heavy weights because of availability. Will probably switch back.

You can always use the Hodgdon online data. It's spot on. H4350 is perfect in the 300 WSM with 180s. Not sure why Nosler doesn't have data for it all the others do.
