[QUOTE="Ballistic64, post: 212769, member: 3401"] hello outdoorfan,I just put a 1-8 shilen on my 22-250 lrpv and it shoots the 80gr bergers great.I wish I could inform you on the 1-9 but have no experience with that twist. My friend bought a 1-9 twist 22-250 lrpv.To make a long story short,we shot a lot of 69-75 gr bullets in the gun just to find it was a 1-12 twist with 1-9 stamped on the barrel. The store he bought the gun from ordered him a new one and told him that they would deal with savage on the barrel screw up.He wants to shoot the 75gr bullets in his 1-9 and I would think it should handle them fine.I know the stock 22-250 lrpv that did so well in last years VHA jamboree was a 1-9 twist and was shooting the 77gr smk's.
