I figure if a guy can polish it off in one sit down meal - its small game.

If you can eat on it all winter, well then that kicks it up to large game status.

Yes, it looks like a small critter.

I though maybe the rifle was really large and the critter was a Yak or African Lion, now it just looks like a field mouse or an immature tapir or maybe a minature bear or.... I get Photoshop jitters from nearly every photo on posted on the internet!

I believe that if it's a little critter (with fur) and I eat it after I kill it it'd be small game.

If its a little critter that will not be eaten after its been kil't then its a varmint.

I agree with Dave, anything smaller than a coyote or bobcat is "small". But it's only "game" if you are going to eat it, otherwise it's a varmint.
