I'm affraid I'm reaching the point of not being able to justify another rifle. I know how ridiculous it sounds, but with the money I've got tied up right now, I'm turning to yall to help talk me into another one. My only thing is, if I cant hunt with it, I dont need it. Plan to add a 30-30 to hit the lever gun mark as well.
Here's what I'm currently housing in the safe:
6mm Rem
.308 win
.280 rem
30-06
7mm Rem mag
Primarily hunt in TX, with ambitioins for Montana, elk and axis are on the bucket list. The rest of the time it's white tail and hogs. Bobcats and coyotes when they show themselves, but never in pursuit of them alone.
The '06 and 6mm are "pretty guns". the other are semi custom work horses. Ballistically I'm covered to 1k for whitetail, and 650-700 for elk. A big 30 or 338 would be awesome, but do I really need to go there? Another 3k gun gets me how much more?
