1987 4Runner. Ran Firestone Destination A/T's for about 50,000. No problems. Good handling, good off-road traction, good enough performance in winter. Good gas mileage. Lighter than the BFG ATs and better reviews on TireRack. I was very pleased with them. Then I opted for the Destination M/T's. Love the tire but with my underpowered and overweight 4runner, along with winter formulated gas, it kills my MPG. With your truck you probably wouldn't see as drastic loss in MPG as I'm seeing with my little 4runner. Not only did it only have 122 horses to begin with in 1987 but there's 150lbs of steel on the front and 50lbs on the back now... Next I bought the Destination LEs thinking I'd get better MPG than the A/Ts. They're fine, but I'm not seeing any improvement in MPG over the A/Ts. They do OK on forest service roads but nothing to write home about, when I finally wear em down I'm getting the Destination A/Ts again. Since you mostly use it as a daily driver I'd go with an AT. If you go with mud tires I'd definitely suggest getting them rotated often (1000-2000 miles) and get the truck aligned annually. This definitely helps with wear.
