What slugs for the Savage 220?

Buy a box of everything and see what shoots best thats your only option.

20 gauge ones, the barrel should be stamped. I believe that's what the 20 part of the 220 model number is also.

Mine shoots both Remington 2 3/4", 260 gr. Accutips, and Winchester 3" 260gr. Dual Bond. Both hold 1 MOA or better at 100 yards, three shots.

Mine also shoots the 2 & 3/4 acutips very well. Too bad they cost so much.
I have a Lanes reloader on the way and the slug reloading manual from Ballistic products. Hopefully I can build a good load before November.

I have great luck with the Remington 20 guage 2 3/4" Accutips as well. My Mossberg 500 cloverleafs them at 100 yards. And my Savage held 2" groups

My recomendation is to buy them early as the sell out really fast come season.

Also try to get your years supply withing the same LOT NUMBER!

I have found the can vary up to 3" POI at 100 yards between lots. But they all have great grouping within the same lot between boxes from my experience.

For a cheaper option, I have also had great luck with the Federal Fusion 20 gauge 2 3/4" They have a lot more drop, but the shoot very accurately for me.

If you can find some Hastings Laser Sabot slugs you need to look no further, but buy as many as you can.
