What is the internal magazine length on Howa 1500 .243

    Want to know the mag length on the Howa 1500, i don't have one and am interested to know if I could buy a .243 and have it rechambered for a 240 Weatherby... Does anyone have one to measure and let me know what the internal length of the magazine is??? Thanks

    I have a Vanguard short action and it should be the same, mine was right at 2.90" I was working with some loads and had to use an oal of 2.89" to fit.

    Thanks Gunwalker has anyone else shot the 95-100gr bullets and had good results with the 1:10 twist in the 243 and at what velocities are you getting???

    No. The .240 is a .30-06 length cartridge.
