Howdy Fellas, I recently fell into a Ruger M77 mkII in 7mm rem mag. It shows signs of some use but seems to be in decent shape. I haven't fired it yet but the guy I got it from (my dad) has taken a couple elk with it and says it shoots pretty well. I have very little experence w/ruger and even less with the 7mm. I'm deciding wether or not to sell/trade it or use it for a build platform, since it was the old mans, I'd like to keep it. He says it kicks like an angry mule (no recoil pad at all) and that's why he gave it to me. I figured I'd first pick up a new trigger and stock. The stock is my real question. I've tried Manners and HS and was pleased with both, but I recently learned that Lone Wolf Stocks is only 15 minutes from my house. I'd like to keep my $$ in the local economy, but not at the expence of getting an over priced or junky stock. I didn't have much luck searching the sight for Lone Wolf. Is this because they're not that good, or is it that they are a smaller unknown company? Also, who makes the best trigger? I plan on doing it myself, so less complicated is best. Or should I just put it in the safe and smile when I see it? Thanx Cody
