I was questioning why the police hid behind there cars and trees some 50+ yards from the school. Two trained officers, skilled with pistol/shotgun combat techniques should have been able to find and stop the shooter realativly easy. Listen to the gun fire, follow it to the source, eliminate the source with the element of suprise. Unfortunatly agencys hire coledge degrees from any major including sociology and phsycology. Previous military service means very little with many of our nations police departments. Which is a sad trend, It's easy to stand behind a tree. It's hard to enter a building with an armed suspect inside slaughtering the civilians you were hired to serve and protect. But damit thats there job, they get paid to do it, grow some nuts and do what you were trained to do. Locally yesterday a man killed his 2 children and himself. He called the Marshfield PD told them what he was going to do. (messy divorce situation) The PD responded by evacuatining the neighbors, closing the streets, setting up a communication post. All the while not noticing the 3 gun shots from the house. 2 hours later after repeated attempts at contact they entered the house to find all three dead. Stupid sons of B%$#*^^. Lives could have been saved but that seems no longer important in todays society.
