We recently did some load development for my buddies Savage LRH chambered in 6.5x284 Normaa. We are running the 140gr Bergers, Norma Brass, FGMM210M Primer and H4831SC powder. The load that we found shot the best was 50.3grs. I want to say we were 0.010" off the lands. Our shooting range isn't the greatest (shooting benches are old wood and delapidated) but he was using a rear bag and a Rock BR front rest. The first couple of groups were perfectly in line horizontally but had vertical stringing. We then took a break and came back and he shot a 3-shot group that could be covered by half a dime. When we chronographed the load he's running about 2800 fps.....really not that fast for the 6.5x284. Any suggestions? Thanks
