Varget and 175gr SMK's

When I first started reloading, I loaded up 175SMK's with 41.5gr of Varget and consistently less than 1MOA for 10 shot groups at 100 yards. I was experimenting with different rounds and loads in my Tikka Varmint at the time (2006 time line).

I sold the Tikka, and now have a box of 175 SMK's waiting to be loaded into Lapua Brass...I'll be working up from under 39 grains probably up to 44grains, but I imagine the sweet spot will b e somewhere arouind 41grains again...

My Howa likes Black Hills 175 grain match rounds as well, but I haven't done any load development with the 175's or 180's. I've been hunting with 165's of various manufacture for the last few years...

Thanks for the reply and info. I will down load the 175 to 42 or 43grs. Varget. I have a new chrony on the way.
