I'm going to get a 4-14X50 IOR tact in the near future
trying to make up my mind between the standard mil dot or the MP8 reticle
I'm afraid that the MP8 is going to be to busy for hunting
what experiances do you guys have?
Thanks
Steve Eggers

I have used the MP8 for years and am very pleased with it. IMO not at all too busy in actual use. I am putting one on my 22-250 for shooting PD's. I use a mil-dot on my .22lr, and would put an MP8 on it if I could find one of the older 1" tube scopes.

Seems like Brad and I think a lot alike. If I was going to get a mil dot reticle, it would be a MP8. I think they are very user friendly. The "new" MP8 is actually a little differant. The very center is a dot, where the older ones have a cross. Good choice of scope!!..sakofan..

The MP-8 reticle is the only way to go. It's not busy at all. Once you use it for the first time, you'll swear by it.
