Typical 7mm STW Barrel Life What could you expect ?

    How many shots are people getting from there 7mm STW's I know this can vary greatly, if you dont let them heat up to much what could be expected ?

    Depending on the barrel material, loads, care, space between shots ect... You can expect between 700-1000 rounds of solid accurate shots.

    Yes it can vary greatly. It is similar to the 300 RUM in the barrel lif department.

    I know guys who have barrels that are "shot out" yet still kill game at long range with them. If a .25 MOA rifle gets to the point where it can only hold 1 MOA it is "shot out" yet is still a very capable rifle. Shot out is a subjective term.

    thanks for the reply, rifle is a sako 75 stainless synthetic. I suppsoe 1000 rounds would be were its at...................
