Turkeys with .243?

A $15 tag for a single bird. I have bought tags many times and never got one. The season is very short. Only allowed to shoot a male in spring and female in fall here in MI. So far I think it is a lot cheaper buying turkey at Wholefoods...

This is easy shoot Sierra's 90gr Full Metal Jacket as I have shot many a Pheasant with my 6mm Rem and body shots, just leaves a hole like you shoved a pencil through them. I have shot a few with big game bullets & it ruins meat, & varmint bullets destroy the bird. I always figured if I can shoot a Pheasant at 250 yds I can hit a Deer at 500. Practice Practice

Got a 2fer one time with a 223 at 125 yards. One through the head and the other through the body with a fmj. Lot of fun.

my oldtimer hunting buddy shot a 6pt one year with his 243 turned around and a turkey was standing there watching blasted him too we had deer and 3/4 turkey that year for thanksgiving
