So I had plans on either a rbros or Lang custom for this year. If I was going full custom I was going to upsize my current caliber selection to either a 7mm or 300 win mag. Well no use building a gun you cannot buy ammo for and I don’t reload. I really don’t see the ammo inventory getting better with our current situation in Washington. With that said I have invested in several 308 rifles and ar10s. I have also a good supply of ammo for this caliber . May surprise many but might least favorite and probably least accurate is a Tikka T3x lite stainless . Never have loved this gun. Smooth action is its only plus. It really is to light for my liking. The stock was terrible . Never got much more than 1.5 moa with the ammoni tried. Swapped the stock to a Boyd at-1 with I like better. Swapped to a bottoms metal , big bolt knob , and metal bolt shroud. All cosmetic but trying to like the gun more . So I’m thinking of sending it to LRI . Change the barrel . Thinking I would like to have a bartlein. That has been on my want list for a long time. Proof has my attention but I have never read anything bad about a bartlein. Thinking 22” 308. Carbon fiber barrel is not a must but I like the aesthetic of the green CF bartlein. Change the stock. Interested in a KRG Bravo. Or having LRI custom inletting a stock and have the fixed recoil lug done that they offer. The bravo is heavier but I think I would be happier with some added weight. Pretty happy with the trigger . looking for any suggestions or guidance . I know these super light hunting rifle are all the rage but I’m not fond. Hunted with a REM PSS 308 for years . It is extreme on the weight but can hit clothes line clip at 100 yards constantly so I new what I was aiming at I was hitting . Not that confident in this tikka. Think I want to stay 308 . Maybe it’s worth the money to start over . Any thoughts
