Tikka 595 and 695

I am looking for a Tikka in a 25-06 for a friend. He used to own a m595 continental varminter. Is the 695 Master Continental a long action version. He needs a heavy barrel on it. Any info would help. If he would just buy a Remington I could help him out, but he insists on being different
