Last year the turkeys were around here just like this. As the snow melted & went away, so did the turkeys. By the time the season came around they had disappeared into the tens of thousands of acres of wild forest. By the time the season opened ,the only turkey you could find was in the frozen section at the grocery store.

Don't hunt them there. It's easy to get a one shot clean kill, but they won't let you back in the store. Then you have to attend a 10 step program. I've been told.

Or out source it to legal hunters. No one has to setup in the barn, but if available you can setup in the area and call them in.

That's a classic winter area vs spring summer area pattern. It's common for birds to move 2-3miles when transitioning to spring habitat.
