The next purchase

I am hoping to have everyone give me their opinions on my next purchase. I currently only have 1 rifle--- a Savage LRH with a Nikon Monarch scope. Here are my options I am debating buying:

1) A Browning X bolt White Gold Medallion
2) A Nightforce scope to top my LHR

If I buy the Browning it would be a nice gun to pass down to my son. If I by the Nightforce I improve my current setup 10 fold....

Buy the scope ,,set up your gun and kill a bunch of game with it in the next few years with your son. Then pass that package down to him when your ready . I know I would never part with my fathers hunting rifle for anything.Just my humble opinion.
