[QUOTE="slymule, post: 4139, member: 1169"] WyoWhisper, Been in Colorado 24 years and never heard "greenie" used, that must be a local Wyoming term. My buck is actually 31 3/4" wide on the outside spread with no kickers. Actually he's a 6x6 typical but I had him scored nontypical because the 6th point on each side is a deduction in the typical class. He'll net 185 typical and thats after a 60 day drying period - he was just scored last week by an official scorer for entry into our big buck contest here in Grand Junction for the Colorado Mule Deer Association. He's sitting at numero uno in the nontypical category though at 197 B&C - not a great buck but nice enough to hang on my wall! I pick him up from the taxidermist in a couple of hours and when I get him hung on the wall I'll take a picture and try and figure out how to post it. Oh, both his bases are 5 1/2" so he's fairly heavy. Figured I'd take the opportunity and put in a shameless plug for the Colorado Mule Deer Association's banquet which is this Saturday, March 15th. For all you "high rollers" 8:00pm is when we auction off our Governor's Tag. Last years tag brought $66K. so somebody must think we still have some big bucks running around these mountains!
