In reference to my previous post, AMAX for hunting,I purchased some and am looking forward to working up a load as soon as I get my gun back.

Thank you for posting the question! That's what these boards are for, to ask and learn. I bought a 300 RUM a few weeks ago and have been working up loads for it. I was in the process of trying the 178gr. A-Max in fact. I had some concerns about using it for longe range work, but thanks to your question, I am now perfectly comfortable with it!
