Does anyone have any experiance using the 90gr. Scirooco on Deer...................??

I have used the 80gr tsx tipped on antelope out of my .243 Impressive.

Greg

They're a pretty tough bullet, so impact velocity would have to be right up there ...

I really really really wanted these to be my hunting bullet of choice in my 243, but I just could not get them to group. In the end I think that they were too long for my rifle. I landed up getting a real sweet load with some 85gr Partitions, so I was happy.

The swifts are very nice bullets though ...

I have heard that from everyone I have asked.........................the 85gr Partitioin is one I have not thought about ................

I will be shooting a .243 Ackley...............what twist was your rifle?

Mine is 1x9

The swift teck said the same thing ................about grouping them.

Darn.............Im like you I wanted the Scirooco to be my hunting bullet to

Greg

I think that you will probably be fine with a 1 in 9 twist ... mine was 1 in 10.

I'd give it a go if I was you ... I think you have a better than even chance of success and based on those odds, I would give it a crack.

Good luck ... I'd be interested in how you go.
