I have a chance to buy a Remington TI stock for a 6.5 mm build i want to do in a year or so and i am getting parts together. Only problem is the stock has a cheek piece which i do not want. The seller seems to think the gunbuilder can grind off the cheek piece then repaint. For some reason this does not seem right to me. Thanks

Is it such a good deal you can't pass it up? I'd think there are lots of stocks out there that would fit your needs without the headache of modifications that could ruin the stock.
